Neil was born in Caulfield, Victoria in 1946 (which was where his maternal grandmother and her second husband lived) but lived at Violet Town during his childhood.
He died from cancer in 1982. [1][2] He never married.
Neil went to Violet Town primary school, then Benalla High School.
Neil served with the UN Peacekeeping Force In Cyprus. He had worked for a time with the Victoria Police, and had worked at Brighton Police Station. He also ran a motel in Swan Hill after retiring from the force.
From Age (Melbourne, Vic. : 1854 - 1954), Saturday 18 May 1946, page 10: "LE PAGE (Lorna Haward).— On May 10, at "Bethlehem," Caulfield, to Mr. and Mrs. Les. le Page, Violet Town — a son (Neil Leslie)."[3]
He played football for Ormond Amateur Football Club.[4]
